Hey, Escape Artists!
It’s been a busy fall so far — check out what we’ve been up to!
1. A mysterious benefactor
In June, we received a call from someone who had access to the initiation room of a former Yale secret society. Unfortunately, the space was SO COOL that it invited lots of break-ins. Our mission: to find some means to deter intruders. Our reward: we got to build a SICK pop-up Halloween game in the new space. You can’t reserve tickets for “The Forbidden Tomb” right now, but we’re looking to take it on the road after Halloween, and you Escape Artists will be the first to find out once we do.
2. New game coming soon
We’ve been hard at work these past few months on a very ambitious new project. It’s got more tech, more set design, and more character development than all of our other games put together. And, perhaps most importantly, it will be replacing The Space Station, a beloved classic! If you haven’t had a chance to try our out-of-this-world game, now is the time!
3. An embarrassment of riddles
We’re posting a new brain teaser every week on our Facebook and Instagram pages to help you stay sharp while you wait for our next game to come out. See how you match up against the rest of our followers! (Challenge mode for this puzzle: there are THREE unique answers — can you figure out all of them?)
4. Staff highlight: Len Prue III
Meet Len: Operator and Handyman Extraordinaire! Len started at Escape in May 2016. Len has a BA in Economics, he is currently an electrician apprentice, and he used to be in a band.
Outside of Escape, Len likes to go on adventures with his wife and kids, or just stay home and play games, Frisbee, rock out on drums, drink beer(s), and build crazy creations with his carpentry skills.
Len cannot pick a favorite game. He has too many. His board game collection is large and diverse. Some of his favorites are: Settlers of Catan, One Night Ultimate Werewolf, Monopoly, Chess, Risk 2210 A.D., Puerto Rico, Hive, Sushi Go, Power Grid, Pandemic, The Resistance, Pokemon TCG, Carcassonne, Foosball, Battle Line, and Twilight Imperium.
